• Positive: The location was exceptional, staff were most professional - even put out umbrellas for guests when it rained.
• Negative: Motecarlo, like European Hotels, does not include an iron or ironing board in the room. When in a hurry to go out it is nice to be able to press one's clothes.

• Staff: 10 so helpful-they realised also from my passport it was my birthday and brouth up a bottle of champagne with ice bucket and glasses. we are welsh and they had gone to the trouble of translating happy birthday into welsh and writing it on the accompanying card!
• Quietness: 10 considering we were on the busiest street in the city-the quietness was amazing. triple glazed patio doors onto balcony made it peaceful
• Room: 10 great room (paid for superior) with bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath, sitting area with v and bedroom with tv, mini bar and adjustable foot and head parts on bed-great bit for feet after busy day out exploring!

• Positive: Location is perfect. Staff very polite and helpfull. Deluxe double bedroom was large and very comfortable.
• Negative: Minor irritations are a lack of draw space and no tea and coffee facilities.

• Cleanliness: 10 Room spotless. clean towels available at any time of day or night.
• Location: 10 Right on the Ramblas and within short walking distance to bus terminal and subway station. Port and old town all within comfortable strolling distance
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 No restaurant at hotel but with location not required as a little research will lead you to several excellent eateries close by.
• Staff: 10 Staff very efficient and helpful offering good advice on things to do and how to get around most economically.
• Quietness: 7.5 Despite being right on the Ramblas the external noise was not really noticeable unless there is a demonstration with accompaning drums. however these seemed to be restricted to day time so not much of a problem. Internally very quiet including the air conditioning.
• Room: 10 Small balcony overlooking the ramblas. Very comfy electrically adjustable beds. Huge bathroom with hydro bath and seperate shower. Nice seperate sitting room with TV. Mini bar and fridge. Lack of drawers in bedroom and no tea and coffee facilities.
• Value for money: 10 Opted for the pre-paid deal but still reasonably expensive, however for location and facilities was definitely worth it.
