• Would you recommend it? Yes
• Positive: the position, very central and very close to the heart of Madrid
• Negative: the noise!!!! I couldn't sleep at all because of the street noise, the wall are very slim and you can hear every movement of your neighbor;last but not least...the hotel is being rebuilded and so you can appreciate the drill and the hammer at 7 a.m..... The temperature in the room: too hot in the bedroom and too cold in the bathroom (there is no heating in this room!!!)

• Positive: Very central location. Excellent breakfast. Both high priorities for me.
• Negative: Rooms varied in size. Ours was quite small.

• Location: 10 Really central. On the Gran Via and only a stone's throw from Plaza del Sol
• Common facilities and services: 5 This is a hotel for accommodation. There are certain facilities but not many. One Internet PC. Bar not popular with guests. Only ate breakfast there and it was good. Garbo restaurant in nearby square excellent.

• Quietness: 2.5 Hotel is on very busy Gran Via and side streets beside hotel very noisy too. It's the trade-off against a really good location.
• Room: 5 Room we had was quite small. Fine for just sleeping and being out all day.

• Negative: I booked executive room on the internet, which was reserved as a twin. When I arrived, I expected an executive room, but was provided a twin. I asked for the room to be changed to an executive, which I was told would be 45 Euros more expensive that I had already booked. I exchanged for a double which was 20 Euros more expensive. I checked the internet booking via the Western Arosa website, and am certain that my original selection was for an execturive room, at the price I was charged. I think that the internet booking via the Western Arosa site is "bugged" and therefore my stay was more expensive. The receptionist did not acknowledge that the internet site price for executive was exactly the same as on my booking form, and that the TWIN room was infact 10 EUROS cheaper than my booking form showed on the internet site.

• Staff: Not rated Lios con las tarjetas, reservas, formas de pago - como es usual en Madrid en casi todo los lados, cosa que les beneficia bastante poco por ser considerado por lo menos por mi, como poco transparente, poco claro,etc. Personal lento, antipático (estirado), poco formado. Tengo tarjeta ORO de Best Western, y es el peor en el que he estado en mi vida. No repetiré.
