• Positive: Todo!! La ubicación es excelente... tanto como el trato del personal y las habitaciones y los servicios de las mismas!! Todo junto hace que te sientas como en casa. El personal siempre dispuesto a ayudarte para que puedas aprovechar lo mas tu estadia en la ciudad... y por si fuera poco, te cuidan mucho!!! ..es como estar en casa!!

• Location: 10 Close to the Royal Palace and its gardens, the San Miguel market, and the main shopping area. One short metro ride to the museum area.
• Common facilities and services: 5 Several computers at the guest's disposal. Vending machines for drinks, etc.
• Staff: 10 Knowing a bit of Spanish helps.
• Quietness: 7.5 I asked for a quiet room and got one.
• Room: 7.5 Most rooms are small but have everything I need. Some have been recently renovated.

• Negative: The rank smell of cigarette smoke every night. Also, the person checking people in spoke rapid fire spanish and NO English (or any other language other than Spanish) and was getting frustrated that we couldn't understand her rapid fire Spanish. If you are going to own a hostel/hostal for international people, it is important to at least have something in several languages.

• Cleanliness: 7.5 They have a cleaning service that comes every day regardless of whether or not you put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. However, this doesn't get an "excellent" mark because at night it REAKED of cigarette smoke.
• Location: 10 right next to a major metro stop, only several blocks to Puerta del Sol, and up the street from Plaza Mayor.
• Common facilities and services: 5 There were computers with internet, but no mingling space.
• Staff: 5 Again, the woman at front did not speak anything but Spanish- and we spoke more than just single word spanish... but she got very frustrated with our attempts at Spanish.
• Quietness: 10 SO quiet.
• Room: 7.5 We got lucky and apparently she had an extra room with its own bathroom. We had reserved a room with shared bathroom, but she let us stay in the one with a bathroom private for no extra charge. Initially she wanted us to pay 10 Euros more, but we said we'd rather move. In the end, she just let us stay.
• Value for money: 5 Yeah, it was fine.
