This Mercure is nicely located for Madrid walking visit. The staff did not welcome us at all really and never offered us any help for our stay The coffee machine that was meant to be in the room and was requested never arrived . Disappointing staff at reception but great at breakfast.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean with very comfortable beds. Our only issue was that we could hear the room above us when people walked around or moved chairs etc. Very easy to walk to the city center, cafes, restaurants, and the metro.

Hotel is in a good location, close to Atocha train station, opposite Prado Museum and within walking distance of Museo Thyssen & Museo Reina Sofia. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet was very weak though.
